The recent programs of spay and neuter, breeder bashing and the over-regulation of dog breeders, has caused a shortage of dogs for rescue groups across the country. They have in turn, started importing "rescue" dogs from other States and Countries to keep the supply up and Shelter profits rolling in. Dogs are being trafficked in from various regions without control or monitoring, because Shelters have exempted themselves from the regulations they have piled onto breeders and thus are virtually unregulated. This has many people concerned about the influx of new diseases not indigenous in the US. Treatment protocols for foreign-type diseases may be lacking and an increase in diseases believed to be eradicated in the US are resurfacing.
The Public Safety is Again Being Compromised Due to Greed by Animal Rights People and Their Agendas.
In their zeal to help the public, they are limiting access to qualified experienced US Dog Breeders, as well as the destroying public's freedom of choice and where they have access to pets, has backfired. How hard will it be to rewrite all the legislation that is now on the books that eliminate freedom of choice and only allows sale of shelter dogs in many cities across the country?
Inconvenient fact: Out of 10 Adopted Shelter Dogs, 6 are returned back to the shelter.
