Fighting Dogs can be very annoying to any structured family or Dog Pack. Many times these are dominance issues between the dogs, however the environment plays a key role in the Pack Mentality of fighting dogs.
Humans, as the pack leader of their dogs, must read and understand the behavior and body language of their pack and many times can either defuse or fuel conditions that make dogs fight.
Please view the video of The Dog Whisperer, Ceasar Milan, as he probes into the reasons why these two dogs constantly fight.
Companionship
While many times dogs enjoy each other as companions, sometimes they are a threat to each others dominance or are jealous of the affection unequally shared.
Sometimes certain sounds or instances can scare one dog and not the other, which in turn displays weakness to the other dog thus a challenge for dominance can result.
A pack leader has to monitor and control these types of situations before the dogs go into RED ZONES, start attacking and fighting. If not done in a timely fashion, or correctly, the Pack leader can fuel the problem, which can then escalate into a serious fight.
